Cherry Blossoms

March is Cherry Blossom season and since I teach in the Nations Capital, Washington, D.C., home of the National Cherry Blossom Festival I decided to have students to create landscape drawings of their city. Online, I found some beautiful pictures of the title basin and the cherry blossoms that I was able to print out in color. My 6th grade students recreated the landscape scenes using tempera paint, watercolor paint and white acrylic paint.
